3 tips on building a strong online presence for your creative biz.

Want to reach the right people, grow your audience, and actually get noticed? Your online presence is where it all starts. I know, it sounds like a lot of work, but trust me, it doesn’t have to be complicated. I’m sharing my 3 no-nonsense tips to help your creative biz stand out from the crowd.

Use social media, but with intention.

You don’t need to be everywhere — just where it matters! Focus on platforms where your audience hangs out. Is it TikTok? Instagram? Make sure you know your target audience well enough to make the right decision. Then, show up consistently. Share your work, let people see the real you. You don’t have to be perfect, you have to be authentic.

Create content people want to see.

Don’t start posting just to post. That’s not getting you anywhere and will just burn you out really quick (trust me, I’ve been there). Share content that speaks to your audience, be it tips, behind-the-scenes, lessons you’ve learned along the way, even the messy parts of your process. People love authenticity and real stories, not just the polished highlights!

Keep your online corner up-to-date.

Your website, portfolio, even your bio — make sure they reflect who you are now. Seriously, take a second to look at your website. Does it still feel like you? Does your portfolio show the stuff you're actually excited to work on now? If your bio still says “I’m a budding entrepreneur” and your portfolio has projects you’re not even into anymore, it’s time for a makeover. Your online presence needs to be as fresh and current as you are. So, take some time to update your messaging, refresh your visuals, and make sure your website’s putting the real you front and center.

That’s it. That’s the blog. No need to overthink it, just show up, stay consistent, and keep it real. That’s how your biz grows online.
